I guide you from initial concept to completed manuscript, offering advice for querying agents, pitching the book to small presses, and publishing independently. I help you solve the core challenges that stall most writers: making book ideas realities, mapping narrative structure, creating memorable scenes, and mastering advanced literary techniques like callbacks and pacing.

When you get stuck, I help you untangle everything that gets in the way of your writing. We manage competing work and family commitments, replace erratic writing with a non-negotiable practice, and unpack the mental blocks that hold you back.

Moving from short-form to longform writing is hard. You can be an expert at essays and still struggle to organize chaotic life stories, maintain momentum over 200 pages, and stitch unified threads from beginning to end. There are generic templates for that, but most writers, regardless of their experience level, need guidance to write a truly innovative debut.

I help you identify blind spots, find the core of your story, and elevate your writing through advanced craft techniques. Good coaching can save years of frustration in generic workshops, where all you get is conflicting advice. I am a book coach and editor, which means that I can help you at any stage of your project. Phase I is Planning. We’ll find the core of your story and map it, so you have a reliable guide to carry you through your first draft. Phase II is Drafting. We’ll agree on a timeline to finish your project, you’ll send me new pages each week, and I’ll offer in-depth or light feedback, depending on what level of access you choose. Phase III is Revision, or what some call Developmental Editing. If you already have a finished manuscript and want to polish it for pitching to agents, we’ll start here with my In-Depth Edit or Standard Reading. Or, if you’ve worked with me through Phase I and Phase II, we’ll make your manuscript sing.
